Vardan Arutiunian is a mentor in the 2024 SURFiN program. He is a postdoctoral fellow in Sara Webb’s lab at Seattle Children’s Research Institute. Arutiunian holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University and a Ph.D. in neurolinguistics from HSE University. His research focuses on neural and genetic mechanisms of language and communication impairments in autism. Arutiunian is the recipient of awards from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and International Brain Research Organization.
