Zhiyan Xu

Zhiyan Xu is a mentor in the 2024 SURFiN program. He is a graduate research assistant in Xinyu Zhao’s lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Xu holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Nanjing Medical University and a master’s degree in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on investigating the molecular mechanism of FMRP at different ages using fragile X syndrome mouse models. Xu is the recipient of the FRAXA fellowship.
