Tse Nga (Tina) Ng received her Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Cornell University in 2006. Then she joined Palo Alto Research Center, a Xerox Company, and in 2015 joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, San Diego. Her research aims toward printing flexible electronics for seamless human-computer interactions.
Ng is working on the urgent need of objective technologies for clinical assessments by developing fully integrated systems that are uniquely scalable to large-area, high-volume production by printing. Some example prototypes include conformal organic photosensors for X-ray imaging, flexible circuits for electronic skin and printed circuits for sensing in smart packaging applications. Ng received the 2012 Innovation Award from Flextech Alliance and was also named runner-up for the Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award.
