Todd Anthony is a research associate at Boston Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School. The Anthony Lab seeks to understand the control of stress-induced modulation of moods and behavioral states, particularly focusing on understanding the role of the lateral septum in this process — a structure known to regulate stress-induced behaviors but whose role remains poorly understood.
His laboratory uses an interdisciplinary approach that employs molecular biological, genetic, viral, in vivo calcium imaging, electrophysiological and behavioral techniques to identify the specific cell types, genes and circuits that control stress-induced modulation of moods and behavioral states.
