Lilliam Acosta-Sanchez joined the Simons Foundation in June 2018 as the outreach manager for Autism BrainNet, a postmortem brain tissue repository for research into the causes of autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions. Acosta-Sanchez manages and facilitates ongoing outreach and communication efforts to help raise awareness for Autism BrainNet and the need for postmortem brain donations to help advance autism research. Before joining the Simons Foundation, Acosta-Sanchez was the Director of Bilingual Health Information and Outreach at the March of Dimes. She led Hispanic outreach efforts and provided maternal and infant health information and support to women and families. Acosta-Sanchez received her B.S. in biology from the University at Albany and an M.P.H. from the Boston University School of Public Health.
