Lauren Bauer joined the Simons Foundation in December 2023 as Senior Director of SFARI Cohorts and Biorepositories. She works closely with the SFARI science, SPARK, Simons Searchlight, Autism BrainNet, informatics, compliance and communications teams and is responsible for the overall management of research cohorts and biorepositories.

Prior to joining SFARI, Bauer worked for over 14 years at The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) Research Institute, where she built and oversaw teams in lab and scientific operations, induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) generation, and project and program management for stem cell research collaborations. She holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado in molecular, cellular and developmental biology.
