Jennifer Foss-Feig joined the Simons Foundation in August 2024 as a member of the SFARI Science Team. She is the scientific lead for SFARI for Early Career Programs and works closely with the SPARK, Simons Searchlight, SFARI Data and Biorepository, and Informatics teams as the clinical research lead for SFARI Cohorts.
Foss-Feig earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and chemistry from Williams College and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Vanderbilt University. She completed her postdoctoral training at Yale University Child Study Center and Psychiatry Department. Prior to joining SFARI, Foss-Feig was an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Her lab focused on using brain-based methods, including EEG and MRI, to examine sensory, perceptual and social functioning in autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders. Alongside her role at SFARI, Foss-Feig remains clinically active working with individuals with autism and their families.
