Ian Maze is an assistant professor of neuroscience and pharmacology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Maze’s laboratory focuses on histone regulation in the mammalian central nervous system. Using a multidisciplinary and integrative approach involving biochemical, biophysical, physiological and behavioral analyses, Maze’s team explores chromatin-based mechanisms of neurological disease in rodent, postmortem human brain and human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neuronal model systems.
