Mentor: Damhyeon Kwak (Frost Lab)
Erika Blaine is currently studying neuroscience at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. While there, she has been privileged to work closely with Brock Kirwan as a teaching assistant for his behavioral neurobiology course. Having had the opportunity to study abroad and tour different labs in Hungary under the tutelage of Kirwan, Erika is fascinated by and driven to understand the workings of the brain. She finds that understanding the intricate molecular workings that together make up one single human mind is beautiful. She is also passionate about finding a way to relieve those who are hindered by the addictive side of their dopaminergic neuropathway.
