Becky Andersen is a mentor in the 2024 SURFiN program. She is a postdoctoral fellow in Christopher Walsh’s lab at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard University. Andersen holds a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, immunology and molecular genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Ph.D. in developmental and stem cell biology from the University of California, San Francisco. Her research focuses on elucidating the genetic and molecular underpinnings of autism. Andersen is the recipient of the Autism Speaks Postdoctoral Fellowship.
