The Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) staff is deeply saddened by the recent violent attacks against Asian, Asian-American and Pacific Islanders, some of which happened not far from our offices in Manhattan.

We would like to join the Simons Foundation leadership in once again expressing our emphatic dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion among our staff and our grantees, as well as our commitment to fighting systemic racism of all marginalized groups.

A diverse scientific community is critical for accelerating a deeper understanding of the key challenges of our times. By promoting initiatives that will bring greater opportunities to diversify and serve autism research, SFARI remains committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable scientific community.
