Welcome to SFARI Wiki

This wiki is intended to provide an up-to-date, searchable reference about concepts in autism research.

It is a live collaboration, written and edited by scientific researchers. Entries can include text, links, images and other media. Please provide references to published data as often as possible, as well as links to other wiki terms and SFARI.org articles. The wiki also maintains an editing history that provides an ongoing record of this evolving field.

Everyone is welcome to read and learn from the wiki. If you’d like to edit existing entries or create new ones, you must first register to become a SFARI.org member, subject to the terms of our membership policy.

Like all other parts of SFARI.org, the wiki is subject to our site-wide Terms & Conditions.

To search this wiki:

Enter the search term in the search window at the top right-hand side of this page. You can limit your search to the wiki by checking the “Search only within this section” box.

If you cannot find a page on the topic you're looking for, please consider adding a new page on that topic to help our wiki grow.

To add a new page:

Enter the desired URL of the page you wish to create into your browser's address bar by adding the name of the wiki you wish to create to the current URL and hit ENTER.

For example:

For example:

www.sfari.org/resources/sfari-wiki/my-new-topic -- (where my-new-topic is the name of the new page you wish to create).

The URL can be anything you like, so long as it contains no spaces or special characters (such as *, !, @, #, $, %, etc.).

If the page does not already exist, the wiki will automatically make the new page for you and take you there. Click the "Create new empty page" link, edit your new page and save it.

If the page exists, you can modify it as you wish by choosing the Edit Page tab. You must be logged in to add or edit pages. As you edit, you can click on the Preview tab to see how the page will look with your changes. Once you're finished, choose "Save changes."

To help us maintain the quality of the wiki, please consult the Wiki Style Guide, a set of standards on punctuation, grammar and other elements of writing.
