Relaunch of SFARI.org

The Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) today announces the launch of its newly redesigned website, SFARI.org.

SFARI.org has been upgraded and enhanced to serve as a virtual institute for autism research, offering several new functions to support the research of, and foster dialogue among, autism researchers:

  • SFARI Forum: A password-protected discussion forum in which researchers can engage in open dialogue about current issues in their fields.
  • News & Opinion: The site’s enhanced research news hub and online platform to hear from leaders in the autism research community on a range of topics, including genetics, molecular mechanisms, clinical research and cognition. The section will also feature “Papers of the Week,” a list of autism-related scientific publications selected by SFARI.org staff.
  • SFARI Wiki: A wiki of autism terms and topics, written and edited by SFARI.org’s community of approved researchers.

The credibility and independence in reporting that you expect from SFARI.org remain, as do its key resources for researchers, such as SFARI Gene and SFARI Base.

The mission of SFARI is to drive autism research forward. Our yearlong re-development of this site reflects our deep dedication to that mission. We look forward to your feedback — and to seeing your participation in the site’s forums — in the months ahead.
